The MBExC cordially welcomes Dr. Mette Handberg-Thorsager, who started her position as Application Specialist for Multiscale Biology on 15th July 2026. Her research will focus on “how genes, cells, and biophysical mechanisms interact to shape the animal body plan, particularly in marine invertebrates”. Her Application Specialist fellow position is affiliated with the Research Group Multiscale Biology (PI: Prof. Dr. Jan Huisken) at the Faculty of Biology and Psychology, University of Göttingen.
