Structure

The management structure aims to ensure transparent and accessible governance of the cluster. MBExC is an interdisciplinary scientific research institution of University of Göttingen connecting the faculties of Medicine, Biology and Psychology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science, as well as Physics. Other participating research institutions are the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, the Max Planck Institute of Experimental Medicine, the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization, as well as the Göttingen sites of the German Center for Neurodegenerative Disease (DZNE) and the German Center for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK).

Executive Board

The members of the cluster are basic researchers and clinicians located at the partner institutions. Together they form the MBExC general assembly, which elects the board and spokesperson. The board is responsible for the strategic orientation and general decisions of the MBExC. The Speaker represents MBExC, its interests and implements the structural goals of the cluster together with the administrative office.
