The International Union of Physiological Sciences (IUPS) has elected Stefan Hell and Erwin Neher from the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry as Honorary Fellows. The MBExC members were honored for their groundbreaking research of great importance to the field of physiology. IUPS is a non-political and non-geographical scientific organization representing more than 60 physiological societies worldwide.
