Supported by the MBExC, Julia Naas (Center for Integrative Bioinformatics Vienna, CIBIV) in collaboration with MBExC member Axel Munk, MBExC Application Specialist Housen Li, Giacomo Nies and Berhard Schmitzer (all Institute for Mathematical Stochastics, University of Göttingen), have designed a 3D virtual journey to represent the optimal transport between protein clusters. This is one research focus of the mathematicians specializing in Statistics in Bio- and Lifesciences and Microscopy Image Processing. The project, titled “MultiMatch,” will be shown in the “mixed reality” exhibition ARS ELECTRONICA 2022 in Linz, Austria. The Festival for Art, Technology and Society provides a stage for media art, an experimental field for the next generation, a showcase for creativity and innovation. This year’s festival motto is “Welcome to Planet B – A different life is possible. But how?” and will take place in Linz from September 07 to 11.
