1.5 million to study diseased cardiac muscle

An Europe-wide initiative of the British Heart Foundation (BHF), the German Centre for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK) and the Dutch Heart Foundation (DHF) is funding four projects with a cardiovascular research focus in order to achieve new approaches in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The “Shift-DCM” project led by MBExC member Dr. Lukas Cyganek from the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG) will receive 1.5 million euros for a funding period of four years.
