HSC Small Group Seminar “A tour to the MBExC cryo-EM platform at the UMG”

Description:

CryoEM is a state-of-the-art imaging technique that can reveal molecular details of biological specimens of different nature from purified complexes to cells and tissues. The cryoEM platform of UMG has recently been established. The platform consists of high-end instruments like a 300kV TEM Titan Krios, a dual beam FIB-SEM microscope, and a Thunder cryo CLEM microscope and a vitrobot. A tour to the cryoEM platform is available to the Hertha Sponer Colleagues who are interested to see the instruments first hand. The tour would be in 2 parts, the first part would be a short lecture via Zoom, the aim of it is to help the audience understand the principle of the instruments they are going to see. The second part would be a site visit to the cryoEM platform.
