Lego workshop with MBExC member and biophysicist Prof Dr Timo Betz (Third Institute of Physics, University of Göttingen)
In this workshop, biophysicist Prof Dr Timo Betz and Dr Bart Vos showed children and young people aged 10 and over how to build their own microscope out of Lego bricks and use it to discover the smallest structures and relationships. The participants learnt more about the technology behind microscopy and were able to take photos of magnifications of exciting specimens with their own smartphones. The workshop took place as part of the special exhibition ‘Heart & Brain – Understanding Together’ at the Forum Wissen.
