HSC Advanced Methods Course „Statistical and Computational Data Science I“

Description:
This course is the first part of the HSC Course cycle “Statistical and Computational Data Science”. The goal is to provide a systematic introduction to statistical and computational data science with themes tailored to the needs of data analysis tasks arising in Hertha-Sponer-College for general (non-mathematician) audience. Topics will cover statistical paradoxes, graphical methods, regression and classification, hypothesis testing and an introduction to deep learning. Further topics, such as time series, functional estimation and imaging, etc. will be provided in a follow-up lecture series.
