Welcome Prof. Dr. Emilie Macé at the MBExC

We are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Emilie Macé who took up the newly established professorship for “Dynamics of Excitable Cell Networks” at the University Medical Center on April 1st. With her expertise in functional ultrasound imaging that she pioneered, Emilie significantly strengthens the multiscale research approach of the MBExC. The neuroscientist and her team aim on investigating how the brain controls behavior at the level of brain-wide networks. The professorship is affiliated with the Department of Ophthalmology, UMG, and will be closely integrated into the Center for Biostructural Imaging in Neurodegeneration (BIN).
