ESP Young Investigator Award 2023 for Nadja Simeth-Crespi

MBExC junior fellow Nadja Simeth-Crespi receives ESP Young Investigator Award

As recently announced by the European Society for Photobiology (ESP) on X, former Twitter, MBExC Junior Research Group leader and PI Nadja A. Simeth-Crespi, Institute of Organic and Biomolecular Chemistry, University of Göttingen, receives the 2023 ESP Young Investigator Award.

The ESP offers Young Investigator Awards to early stage researchers who conduct original research of exceptionally high quality in a field related to Photobiology.

The award will be presented at the 20th Congress of the European Society for Photobiology, which will be held in Lyon (France), from August 27th to 31st, 2023.

Jun.-Prof. Dr. Simeth’s research is at the interface between physical and organic chemistry and aims to integrate biomolecules into chemical, biohybrid and biomimetic systems.

In her research, Jun.-Prof. Simeth-Crespi focuses on the orthogonality and cooperativity of (photo)chemical events to label molecules, build tools to understand complex function and bio(hybrid) networks.
